A high-level delegation from Chiang Mai University (CMU)<\/strong> visited several prestigious institutions in Melbourne, Australia, from 23rd<\/sup> to 26th<\/sup> July 2024, to explore collaboration opportunities in future cities, disaster resilience, sustainable energy research and Industry 4.0 research platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Led by Assistant Professor Todsaporn Pichai<\/em><\/strong>y<\/em><\/strong>a<\/em><\/strong>, Vice President of CMU, the team included representatives from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture. During their four-day visit, they toured RMIT Melbourne City Campus<\/strong>, Swinburne University of Technology<\/strong>, The University of Melbourne <\/strong>and Monash University<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit was part of a project titled “The Future-Link: Chiang Mai University and The University of Melbourne,” focusing on future cities, disaster resilience, and sustainable energy collaborations. This initiative is supported by Chiang Mai University and funded through the “Person to Organization Program (P2O).”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This international outreach aims to foster partnerships with some of the world’s top 50 universities, potentially enhancing CMU’s research capabilities and global academic standing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The timing of this visit, scheduled for the future, suggests that Chiang Mai University is proactively planning for long-term international collaborations and academic exchanges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
