Mining is a primary industry devoted to taking minerals out of the earth, improving the quality, and then supplying those minerals to other downstream industries to process and use in the production of almost every commodity. Our courses are mainly specialized in;
- The mine planning and design include equipment selection, drilling and blasting, plant and accessories design, rock mechanics and its application courses for underground construction, and mineral economics. Those courses in the mining part include knowledge of both surface and underground mine planning and design.
- The mineral processing courses provide students with concepts and skills of mineral processing and metallurgy. The program has room for both major and free elective courses for the students to pursue what they interest in novel mining technology such as tunnelling, geostatistics, mine environment, computer applications in mining, and clean coal technology, etc.
