Chiang Mai University and Technical University of Liberec Forge Academic Partnership

The Faculty of Engineering at Chiang Mai University proudly hosted Dr.Ondřej Matúšek from the Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic, in a significant academic exchange. The welcoming event, led by Assistant Professor Dr.Pinyo Puangmali, the head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, took place on 19 January 2024, at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering.

During the visit, representatives from Chiang Mai University and Technical University of Liberec sealed the collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This MOU marks the commencement of a five-year academic partnership, focusing on knowledge exchange, faculty and student collaboration and joint research initiatives.

Dr.Ondřej Matúšek, a distinguished academic from Technical University of Liberec, assumed the role of a visiting professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering for a duration of 5 days. His presence enriched the academic atmosphere, providing a platform for in-depth discussions on potential avenues for future collaboration between the two institutions.

This academic collaboration aims to not only strengthen the ties between Chiang Mai University and Technical University of Liberec, but also contribute significantly to the advancement of engineering education and research on a global scale.
