CMU Engineering Students Win 3 Best Awards at Tri-U 2024
Representative Students from the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, have brought pride to their institution by securing three prestigious awards at the 30th Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium 2024, held at Jiangsu University, Jiangsu Province, People's Republic of China, during November 11-14, 2024.
The conference brought together 120 participants from 7 universities across 4 countries, featuring presentations under 5 main themes: Population, Food, Energy, Environment, and AI & the sustainable development of human society. CMU students earned the following distinguished awards:
- Best Presentation Award: Miss Naruesaran Limsilatham, a master's student in Industrial Engineering, for her work on "Enhancing Sustainability in Car Dealership Center through the Process Improvement Using Lean Principles"
- Best Presentation Award: Poommipat Wattanaprasit, an undergraduate student in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering, for his presentation on "Real-time Image Processing for Vital Sign Data Collection in the Pan Noi Robot"
- Best Workshop Presentation Award: Suraphat Baroonphan and Mr. Wittawat Jaroenwachirasak, undergraduate students in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering
The award ceremony was held on November 14, 2024, at Hall A, Conference Room, Jiangsu University, concluding with a farewell party featuring cultural performances from students of each participating country. This created lasting impressions and fostered friendships among participants. Beyond academic skill development, the conference provided students with opportunities for cultural exchange, broadening their perspectives, and establishing international networks.
