Chiang Mai University (CMU) and EDL-Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen) officially signed MOU on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Phraya Sriwisarnwacha Meeting Room, CMU Office of the University. This milestone marks a significant step in fostering collaboration on personnel development and knowledge exchange in electrical technology and related fields.
This partnership reflects the shared vision of both institutions to enhance human resource capabilities through Lifelong Learning Platform of CMU and to develop short-term programs that align with the mission of Lao State Enterprises.
The signing ceremony was honored by Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University, and Mr. Daovieng Sounanthalath, Acting Managing Director of EDL-Gen, who signed the agreement. The signing was witnessed by Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, CMU, and Mrs.Phokhine Apphay, Director of Corporate supports and Administration of EDL-Gen. Additionally, Dr. Bounthene Chansamay, Deputy Managing Director of EDL, along with senior executives from both parties, attended the event as esteemed witnesses.
This academic cooperation signifies a crucial step toward strengthening academic excellence and technology transfer between Chiang Mai University and the energy sector of Lao PDR.
