The Faculty of Engineering, CMU, Partners with Chiang Mai Rim Doi Public Company Limited to Strengthen Engineering Education and Industrial Innovation
On April 17th, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Chiang Mai Rim Doi Public Company Limited, a leading construction company in Northern Thailand. The ceremony was held at The Faculty of Engineering office building.
The MOU was signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Mr. Thirapat Chirapipat, Managing Director of the company, with executives and faculty members from both sides in attendance.
This collaboration aims to develop students' skills in alignment with real-world demands in the construction and civil engineering sectors, with a focus on digital construction technologies, internships, and cooperative education programs. The partnership also promotes knowledge exchange and innovation to advance Thailand’s industry.
By connecting academic expertise with industry experience, this MOU sets a foundation for research, technology development, and professional readiness—empowering students while contributing to the modernization of construction practices nationwide.
