National Taiwan University Delegation Visits Faculty of Engineering, CMU to Discuss Academic Collaboration

On June 2, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University (CMU) had the honor of welcoming a distinguished delegation from National Taiwan University (NTU) at the Hall of Fame Meeting Room, Faculty of Engineering Office Building. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen academic ties and explore new horizons for international collaboration. The meeting coincided with NTU’s participation in “The 55th Anniversary Celebration: International Networking and Engineering Symposium 2025,” hosted by the Faculty.

The NTU delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ying-Chieh Chan, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering.

Productive discussions were held on expanding short-term exchange programs, organizing joint workshops and summer camps, and initiating collaborative capstone projects. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing student and faculty mobility while promoting joint academic activities between the two institutions.

  • Prof. Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Vice Dean and Director of Chiang Mai International Engineering School (CM-IES)
  • Prof. Dr. Faifan Tantakitti, Assistant to the Dean and Deputy Director of CM-IES
  • Prof. Dr. Damrongsak Rinchumphu, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering
  • Miss Usanee Pongsawaleesri, Head of Office, CM-IES

This visit represents a significant step forward in the partnership between NTU and CMU. By fostering stronger academic exchanges and launching collaborative initiatives, both institutions are committed to promoting excellence in engineering education and expanding opportunities for their students and faculty on a global scale.
