The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, warmly welcomed a delegation from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), led by Dr. Anil Verma, Dean of International Programs, on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Phraya Srivisarn Vaja Meeting Room, Chiang Mai University Office.

The delegation was received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Vice Dean, and representatives from departments and the Chiang Mai International Engineering School (CM-IES), including:

  1. Prof. Dr. Watchapon Rojanaratanangkule, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering
  2. Prof. Dr. Karn Patanukhom, Deputy Head of the Department of Computer Engineering
  3. Kittiya Thunsiri, Ph.D., Lecturer, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program
  4. Autanan Wannachai, Ph.D., Lecturer, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program
  5. Rattlanna Mingchua, International Relations Officer, CM-IES
  6. Miss Natthanan Phanbunplook, International Relations Officer, CM-IES

During the visit, both institutions discussed potential areas of collaboration, including student and staff exchange, joint research, joint curriculum development, and short-term internship opportunities. Moreover, students from the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program had the privilege to attend a special lecture titled “Education for All, AI for Education” delivered by Prof. Sandeep Kumar from IIT Delhi.
