CM-IES Welcomes New International Engineering Program Students 2025

Chiang Mai International Engineering School (CM-IES) at the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, hosted a New Student Orientation with CM-IES 2025 on June 18, 2025, to welcome incoming students to the international engineering programs at the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University. The event aimed to help students integrate into the university's academic and cultural community. Over 200 students from various programs and nationalities participated in the orientation, reflecting the cultural diversity and international nature of the programs.
Assistant Professor Dr. Faifan Tantakitti, Deputy Director of CM-IES, inaugurated the event with a speech emphasizing the importance of transitioning from high school to university. The event was emceed by Dr. Robert Casper, Lecturer at Chiang Mai International Engineering School, who guided the program with enthusiasm and energy. CM-IES staff, along with program directors and representatives from the international engineering programs, including:

provided essential information on courses, registration, and useful tips for new students to thrive in their first year.
The event also featured ice-breaking activities to help students adapt to the new environment and build connections with their peers, faculty members, and university staff. The orientation concluded with a meeting between students and their academic advisors, giving them the opportunity to establish meaningful relationships and receive guidance as they embark on their university journey.
