ENG CMU Researchers Join Global Annual Meeting at Free University of Bozen-Bolzano under SME 5.0 Project – A Strategic Roadmap Towards the Next Level of Intelligent, Sustainable and Human-Centred SMEs

Asst.Prof.Dr.Korrakot Yaibuatet Thippayawong, CMU Head of the research project “SME 5.0 – A Strategic Roadmap Towards the Next Level of Intelligent, Sustainable and Human-Centred SMEs,” together with a team of researchers from the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University, recently participated in the Annual Meeting hosted by the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, Italy, held from June 17–20, 2025.

This international event brought together academic partners from 16 leading institutions across the globe, as part of the collaborative SME 5.0 research initiative.

The SME 5.0 project aims to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through advanced technologies and sustainable, human-centric solutions aligned with Industry 5.0. The CMU Engineering team shared progress and insights from ongoing research activities focused on sustainability, resilience, and innovation capacity among local SMEs in Thailand.
