ENGINEERING CMU Welcome Delegation from Curtin University to Foster Academic Collaboration

On Monday, 30 June 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, warmly welcomed a delegation from Curtin University, Australia, under the Curtin–CMU Unified Program. This academic collaboration between the two institutions aims to strengthen their relationship and explore opportunities for further partnership development in the future.
The visit began at the Faculty of Engineering with special lectures delivered by distinguished representatives from Curtin University. Professor Mark Ogden, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, presented on “From Vision to Reality: Curtin University's Rise to the Top 1%”, outlining the strategies and pathways that have led Curtin University to become one of the world's top-ranked universities. This was followed by a lecture from Professor Kevin Fynn, Adjunct Professor, Faculty of Science and Engineering, on “Academic Entrepreneurship”, highlighting the role of innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in higher education institutions.
Following the lectures, the Curtin University delegation engaged in a meeting with the Dean, executive team, and Heads of Departments of the Faculty of Engineering to discuss possible academic collaborations, including joint research initiatives, student exchange programs, and the development of long-term strategic partnerships.
This visit marks another significant step in the close relationship between Curtin University and the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, and reflects their shared commitment to advancing academic excellence at the international level in a sustainable manner
