Faculty of Engineering, CMU Welcomes ASEAN-China Centre Delegation to Strengthen Agricultural Collaboration
On June 26, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, welcomed a delegation of 23 representatives from the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), led by H.E. Mr. Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ACC. The delegation also included representatives from the Zhengzhou Municipal People’s Government, Jiangsu University, and prominent agricultural enterprises in China.
The reception was hosted by Assistant Professor Dr. Damorn Bunturat, Assistant Professor Dr. Viboon Changrue, and Assistant Professor Dr. Natawut Neamsorn—faculty members from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The purpose of the visit was to introduce the mission and initiatives of the ACC and to explore opportunities for academic and technological collaboration in the field of agriculture.
Discussions focused on key topics such as agricultural machinery, irrigation systems, food security, capacity building, and student exchange programs. The faculty members presented the faculty’s research strengths and highlighted past collaborative projects in agricultural engineering with Chinese institutions.
The visit served as a platform for knowledge exchange and for laying the groundwork for future cooperation between the two parties in a sustainable and innovative manner.
