ENG CMU & CAMT CMU Sign MOU with DKR to Enhance Student Skill Development

On July 14, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering (ENG CMU), in collaboration with the College of Arts, Media and Technology (CAMT), Chiang Mai University (CMU), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Daio Kaiun Recruit Co., Ltd. (DKR), a human resources company from Japan, at the Faculty of Engineering.
The MOU was officially signed by
- Prof. Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
- Prof. Dr. Worawit Janchai, Dean of the College of Arts, Media and Technology
- Seiki Ozaki, Representative Director of Daio Kaiun Recruit Co., Ltd.
Executives, faculty members, and staff from both faculties also attended the ceremony as witnesses.
This academic collaboration aims to enhance student development and career readiness by offering practical training opportunities and promoting international cooperation. One of the key initiatives under this agreement is the promotion of a free one-year online Japanese language course, along with internship opportunities in Japan.
Through this partnership, participating faculties will nominate students to join internship programs in Japan, with Daio Kaiun Recruit Co., Ltd. facilitating company placement, travel documentation, and accommodation arrangements. This opportunity is expected to benefit students by equipping them with third-language skills and real-world experience working with Japanese companies.
After the signing ceremony, Mr. Seiki Ozaki and Ms. Charlene Aika De Jesus, an interpreter, presented an overview of the DKR Group Companies and provided detailed information about the Japanese language training program to over 20 interested students from both ENG CMU and CAMT.
