Moving Forward Together: Advancing Internationalization Hand in Hand

The Chiang Mai International Engineering School (CM-IES), Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, successfully organized the event “Moving Forward Together: Advancing Internationalization Hand in Hand” on 22 July 2025 at the InterContinental Chiang Mai Mae Ping. The event aimed to foster mutual understanding and promote integrated collaboration between CM-IES and various internal departments within the Faculty of Engineering.
More than 35 representatives from 7departments, the Interdisciplinary Studies Center, the Research, Innovation, and Academic Services Office, as well as the Academic Services Division participated in this initiative. The event served as a valuable platform for open dialogue, strengthening internal cooperation, and aligning collective efforts.
The opening remarks were delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Vice Dean and Director of CM-IES. The event was further honored by the presence of Mrs.Phannee Sojithamporn, Faculty Secretary, who shared insightful suggestions to enhance the Faculty’s internationalization strategies.
Established in 2021, CM-IES has played a pivotal role in driving the faculty’s international agenda. Its mission spans across the management of international programs, coordination of global partnerships, support for international students, and facilitation of visa processes and scholarship opportunities. All these efforts rely heavily on strong collaboration and continuous support from internal units within the faculty.
The event also featured a discussion forum, where participants engaged in meaningful exchanges on improving operational workflows, communication channels, and the designation of clear responsibilities. Attendees reflected on past practices and jointly outlined concrete strategies for moving forward.
The atmosphere throughout the event was warm, collegial, and filled with the spirit of collaboration. CM-IES is confident that the understanding and partnerships nurtured during this event will serve as a strong foundation for advancing the faculty’s international endeavors with resilience and sustainability in the years to come.
