On June 26, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, led by Assoc. Prof. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Ph.D., Dean, together with Asst. Prof. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, D.Eng., Vice Dean, and faculty members from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, including Assoc. Prof. Watchapon Rojanaratanangkule, Ph.D., Head of Department, Prof. Tanongkiat Kiatsiriroat, Ph.D., Asst. Prof. Nat Vorayos, Ph.D., and Assoc. Prof. Attakorn Asanakham, Ph.D., warmly welcomed a delegation of executives from the College of Engineering, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), Taiwan.

The NTUST delegation consisted of:

  1. Ming-Jyh Chern, Dean of College of Engineering
  2. Chen-Hao Wang, Associate Dean of College of Engineering
  3. Prof. Wen-Hsin Ma, College of Engineering
  4. Prof. Yih-Lin Cheng, Associate Dean, Industry-Academia Innovation College

During this visit, the NTUST executives met with the Dean to strengthen academic ties, introduce newly established engineering programs, and promote opportunities for scholarships, student exchange, and internships for CMU Engineering students.

This collaboration marks another important step in fostering academic and research exchange between the two institutions, building stronger international partnerships, and providing students with valuable global learning and research experiences.
