The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University attended as witnesses at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Chiang Mai University and Fortinet, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, on 22 October 2025 at the university’s meeting room.

This collaboration aims to enhance the development of cybersecurity professionals—a skill set highly sought after in the global labor market—by integrating the Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) curriculum into engineering courses to strengthen knowledge, understanding, and hands-on skills for defending against cyber threats in real-world scenarios. Fortinet will provide knowledge resources, practical training, as well as examinations and internationally recognized NSE certifications to cultivate personnel equipped to tackle cybersecurity challenges in the digital era. In addition, the Faculty of Engineering has launched a Bachelor of Engineering program in Information Systems and Cybersecurity (International Program) to meet current and future workforce demands, producing graduates with globally competitive capabilities and skills
