CMU Faculty of Engineering Welcomes U.S. University Delegation under IAPP Thailand 2025 to Advance Strategic Partnerships
On Thursday, 30 October 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, welcomed a delegation from universities in the United States under the International Academic Partnership Program 2025 (IAPP Thailand 2025), supported by the U.S. Embassy in Thailand. The visit aimed to receive an overview of the university and the faculty, and to discuss long-term strategic collaboration between U.S. higher education institutions and their Thai partner institutions.
During the visit, the delegation received briefings on the Faculty of Engineering’s strengths in teaching and research and explored collaboration opportunities across STEM fields in engineering and science, including:
- Joint research and innovation initiatives
- Student and faculty exchange programs
- Co-supervision of theses and joint curriculum development
- Linkages with industry and international research funding sources
This meeting reflecting the program’s commitment to enabling long-term strategic partnerships between U.S. and Thai institutions.
