Doctorate electrical engineering student awarded “Best Oral Presentation”

Miss Thanathip Chankong, doctorate electrical engineering student, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University awarded “Outstanding Oral Presentation” from “13th Karnchanaphisek Doctorate Project Academic Session” or RGJ – Ph.D. Congress XIII, held under “Karnchanaphisek Doctorate Project” of The Thailand Research Fund on April 6 – 8, 2012, at Chom Thien Palm Beach Resort, Chonburi. The research topic named “Target Classification Using Correlation Filter and Its Application to Cervical Cancer Cells Detection in Pap Smears”, to design and develop Image Processing for computers to check automatically whether there are cancer cells in pap smear pictures taken by microscope or not, which cooperated by Doctor Thaweethong Kor-anantakoon, Doctor, Thoracopathy Hospital, specialists from Udon Thani Cancer Center and Lampang Cancer Center supported by Karnchanaphisek Doctorate Project with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nipon Theera-Umpon as an advisor.
