ENG CMU Welcomes University of Wisconsin Green Bay Delegation to Foster Global Academic Collaboration
The Faculty of Engineering at Chiang Mai University, under the leadership of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean, Assistant Dean Assistant Prof.Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Assistant Prof.Dr.Peerapol Jirapong,Head, Department of Electrical Engineering and Assistant Prof.Dr.Wasawat Nakkiew, Head,Department of Industrial Engineering along with representatives from the Faculty of Science, Chiang Mai University, including Assoc.Prof.Dr.Kedsarin Pimraksa, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Somporn Chantara, and Assoc.Prof.Dr.Manaporn Manaboon and Faculty of Medicine Chiang Mai University including Assistant Professor Chalong Cheewakriangkrai, Assistant Professor Dr. Klintean Wunnapuk, Associate Professor Prapaporn Suprasert warmly welcomed Prof.Dr. John F. Katers, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Amanda Nelson, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Brian Merkel and Assoc.Prof.Dr.Debra Pearson from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, USA on 12th February 2024. The key focus of the visit was to explore possibilities and develop collaborations in the realms of research, projects and other scholarly activities involving faculty and students from both institutions. This marks a pivotal step towards creating a more interconnected global academic community.
The visit builds upon the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two universities in January 2022, laying the foundation for continued collaboration and exchange of knowledge. The discussions held during the meeting aimed at further solidifying this partnership, ensuring that both institutions benefit from shared expertise and resources.
