The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Associate Professor Dr.Thongchai Fongsamootr, along with the Associate Dean Assistant Professor Dr.Uttapol Smutkupt and Assistant Deans Assistant Professor Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Assistant Professor Dr. Songyot Kitthamkesorn, Head of Civil Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Preda Pichayapan, and also Head of Research Center for Infrastructure and Green Transport Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Nopadon Kronprasert, participated in the signing ceremony of the academic cooperation agreement between Chiang Mai University and Thai Honda Company Limited on March 14, 2567, at 3:00 PM, at the Phraya Sirivisarnwaja Meeting Room, University Office.

The signing of the academic cooperation agreement was honored by the CMU President, Professor Dr. Pongruk  Sribanditmongkol and Dr. Arak Phonprapa, Chairman of Thai Honda Company Limited. Witnesses to the signing included the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Associate Professor Dr.Thongchai Fongsamootr, and the Head of the Safety Riding Promotion Group, Mr. Somkiat Hongsetthakorn.

The agreement was a result of the commitment of Thai Honda Company Limited to help reduce accidents from traffic, strengthen and support knowledge and skills in safe driving in Thai society, by collaborating with the government and educational institutions in promoting road accident prevention campaigns.

CMU and Thai Honda Company Limited together will develop training courses to provide safe driving knowledge for motorcycle users among CMU staff and students. Additionally, they will organize training courses and tests for motorcycle license applicants according to the Department of Land Transport standards, aiming to instill safety and traffic discipline in students and lay the foundation for accident-free roads in the future.
