The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University visited University of Leeds in England to Explore Engineering Collaboration.
Continuing the pursuit of international collaboration, the Faculty of Engineering team from Chiang Mai University, including Asst.Prof.Dr.Chatchawan Chaichana, Assoc.Prof.Dr.Santi Phithakkitnukoon, Dr.Jenjira Jaimunk and Dr.Pakinee Ariya embarked on a visit to the University of Leeds, England on 19th March 2024. The team met with representatives from the School of Chemical and Process Engineering; Kasia Ratcliffe, International Manager for Southeast Asia, Premila Kanapathy, Southeast Asia, Overseas, Prof.Ardian Morina, Deputy Pro-Dean International and Research to discuss potential research collaborations, the possibility of organizing summer/ winter camps and other avenues for academic exchange and cooperation. These discussions underscored the commitment of both institutions to fostering academic partnerships and leveraging collective expertise to advance research and innovation in engineering. Moreover, the team also visited the nanomaterial analysis instrument using the X–ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) technique. This technique analyses elements and chemical compositions on the surface of materials, which can be applied to various types of materials such as metals, glass, ceramics, plastics and semiconductors.
