The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, led by Dean Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamoort, along with Assistant Dean Associate Professor Dr. Wassanai Wattanutchariya, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering Associate Professor Dr. Santi Phithakkitnukoon and Associate Professor Dr. Damrongsak Rinchumphu from Department of Civil Engineering, warmly welcomed Professor Yoshihide Sekimoto and his colleagues from the Center for Spatial Information Science, The University of Tokyo. This visit, which took place on September 5, 2024 at 09.30 a.m. in the Tiyaporn Conference Room, 6th Floor, 30th Anniversary Building, Faculty of Engineering. Was aimed at participating in academic discussions and exchange opinions on the Potential of ICT applications in Asia (Asia X ICT) project.
The Potential of ICT applications in Asia (Asia X ICT) project ongoing since 2012, has been hosted in various cities across Asia. This year, the project is scheduled to take place in Chiang Mai Province from September 5-6, 2024. Chiang Mai has been selected as the case study area, focusing on issues related to the smog and tourism crisis in the province. The event will feature expert opinions from various fields, fostering knowledge exchange and to incorporate suggestions for improving future research.
