ENG CMU Welcomes Daio Kaiun for Global Internship Opportunities

              The Faculty of Engineering at Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the College of Art, Media and Technology, welcomed representatives from Daio Kaiun Recruit Company from Japan on December 18, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Meeting Room 3, 7th Floor, 30th Anniversary Building, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University.

              The welcoming ceremony was honored by Assistant Professor Dr. Uttapol Smutkupt, Associate Deans and Associate Professor Pawarut Jongchansitto, Associate Deans, along with Dr. Faifan Tantakitti, Deputy Director of Chiang Mai International Engineering School, and Miss Usanee Pongsawaleesri, Head of the office of Chiang Mai International Engineering School, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Jirawit Yanchinda, Associate Dean, and faculty members from the College of Art, Media and Technology, in greeting the Daio Kaiun Recruit Company delegation, including Mr. Seiki Ozaki (Representative Director), Mr. Keiki Kameshima (Corporate Advisor and company coordinator).

              As part of Daio Kaiun, the company is an affiliated company of Daio Paper Corporation which is one of the top four companies in the paper industry in Japan. All these companies are based in Shikoku-Chuo City, Ehime Prefecture. Additionally, there are many small and medium-sized enterprises producing a variety of paper products, making this city a hub for Japan’s paper product exports for 18 consecutive years.

              The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the cooperation of student development to prepare students for the global job market, as well as to promote internship opportunities and an online Japanese language training program. These initiatives aim to provide students with the opportunity to learn a third language and increase their chances of working in Japan in the future.
