Engineering, CMU Welcomed Executive Delegation from Dong-A University, South Korea
On October 24, 2024, the Faculty of Engineering at Chiang Mai University (CMU), led by Associate Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Chatchawan Chaichana, warmly welcomed an executive delegation from Dong-A University, South Korea. The delegation included:

Joining the faculty representatives were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichai Chattinnawat, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nirand Pisutha-Arnond from the Department of Industrial Engineering, and Ms. Natthanan Phanbunplook, an international relations officer.
The delegation’s visit aimed to discuss potential academic collaborations, including plans to co-host future conferences in both Busan, South Korea, and Chiang Mai, Thailand. During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wichai Chattinnawat and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nirand Pisutha-Arnond delivered a presentation on a medical research project, laying the groundwork for future joint initiatives.
The visit also served as an important first step in building a strong partnership between the two universities. The discussions included potential collaboration on joint research, the development of double-degree programs, and opportunities for CMU students to engage in internships and cooperative education in South Korea. Given Dong-A University’s strong connections with industry, these opportunities could provide CMU students with valuable international experience.
