On May 30, 2024, Dr. Faifan Tantakitti, Deputy Director of Chiang Mai International Engineering, and Asst. Prof. Thanatip Chankong from the Department of Computer Engineering visited the LinkedIn Headquarters in Singapore. The purpose of their visit was to solidify a partnership between the Faculty of Engineering at Chiang Mai University and LinkedIn, aimed at empowering students with valuable career skills and insights.
As part of this collaboration, the Faculty of Engineering has acquired LinkedIn Learning Licenses for its 3rd and 4th-year students. By leveraging LinkedIn Learning, students can acquire in-demand skills and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends. They can also enhance their portfolios and demonstrate practical knowledge to increase visibility to potential employers. In addition to LinkedIn Learning, the Faculty of Engineering will utilize LinkedIn Talent Insights to obtain data-driven insights into the job market, skills trends, and employer preferences, to optimize its curriculum. With this information, the faculty can align its curriculum with the current and future demands of the engineering industry and identify skill gaps to ensure students are well-prepared for their chosen careers. Furthermore, the faculty can foster stronger connections with industry partners and create targeted career opportunities for graduates. By combining the expertise of its faculty with the resources and insights offered by LinkedIn, the university is setting its students on the path to success in the dynamic and competitive world of engineering.
