คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ มช. โดยงานพัฒนาระบบเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและนวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้ จัดการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการให้กับคณาจารย์และผู้เกี่ยวข้องใน การใช้ระบบ E-Learning (KC-Moodle) ในการเรียนการสอน วันพฤหัสบดีที่ 31 พฤษภาคม 2555 เวลา 09.00 น. – 12.00 น. E-learning Workshop for lecturers and staffs related to e-learning (KC-Moodle) in teaching on Thursday 31st May, 2012 from 09.00 – 12.00 am. at Computer Laboratory Room 314, 3rd floor, 30-year Building, Faculty of Engineering held by Information Technology ณ ห้องปฏิบัติการคอมพิวเตอร์ 314 ชั้น 3 อาคาร 30 ปี คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ เพื่อสร้างความรู้   ความเข้าใจในภาพรวมของระบบ KC-Moodle อันนำไปสู่การบูรณาการการเรียนการสอน และใช้ระบบฯ ให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด
             การอบรมดังกล่าว ได้รับเกียรติจากคณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ รศ.ดร.เสริมเกียรติ จอมจันทร์ยอง เป็นประธานเปิดงาน  ซึ่งได้กล่าวถึง 21th Century Skill ที่ทั้งคณาจารย์และนักศึกษา จะต้องประยุกต์เอาความรู้ ความสร้างสรรค์ไปก่อให้เกิดนวัตกรรมที่สร้างประโยชน์อย่างทันสมัยไม่หยุดนิ่ง ตลอดจนติดตามเรื่องนวัตกรรมต่าง ๆ เพื่อนำมาพัฒนาตนเองและผลงานอย่างต่อเนื่อง ซึ่งระบบ E-Learning (KC-Moodle) ก็ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งนวัตกรรมที่น่าสนใจ และจำเป็นกับการเรียนการสอนปัจจุบัน โดยระบบนี้มีทีมงานของสำนักบริการเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ มช. เป็นผู้ดูแลระบบอย่างเชี่ยวชาญมา 6 ปีแล้ว
             ปัญหาสำคัญที่ทำให้ต้องจัดการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการนี้ เนื่องจากเดิมทีคณะฯ ใช้ระบบ LMS ที่สภาคณบดีคณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์แห่งประเทศไทยพัฒนาขึ้น โดยมอบให้มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์เป็นผู้พัฒนาระบบ ซึ่งปัจจุบันระบบ LMS นี้ได้หยุดพัฒนาแล้ว  จึงเกิดปัญหาในการใช้งาน กระบวนวิชากลางไม่สามารถเข้าศึกษา มีความผิดพลาดเรื่องการเข้าถึงข้อมูลบ่อยครั้ง โดยขณะเดียวกันมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ได้มีการสร้างระบบ KC-Moodle ที่ได้รับความนิยมอย่างแพร่หลาย มาเป็นเครื่องมือใช้ในการจัดการกระบวนวิชา E-Learning ซึ่งจุดเด่น คือ สามารถรองรับกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนรูปแบบต่าง ๆ เช่น ภาพ วีดีโอ มัลติมีเดีย รวมไปถึงกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอน บทเรียนอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ทุกรูปแบบ ทั้งนี้คณะต่าง ๆ ภายในมหาวิทยาลัยฯ ก็สามารถเข้าใช้งานร่วมกันภายใต้ชื่อว่า  CMU ONLINE
             หลังจากพิธีเปิดเสร็จสิ้น จึงเริ่มการบรรยายถึงกรณีศึกษาและทิศทางของ E-Learning ของคณะฯ โดย อ.ดร.อานันท์ สีห์พิทักษ์เกียรติ ผู้ช่วยคณบดีฝ่ายพัฒนาระบบเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและนวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ และบรรยายพิเศษเรื่องระบบ KC-Moodle รวมถึง workshop การใช้งานระบบบริหารจัดการการเรียนรู้ CMU ONLINE โดยทีมงานจากสำนักบริการเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ มช. ให้เกียรติมาเป็นวิทยากร

and Learning Innovation Development Division in order to make holistic understanding of KC-Moodle system and leads to the system use for integrated teaching and learning. This training was presided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sermkiat Jomjunyong, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University. He addressed about 21th Century Skill which both lecturers and students must be aware and adapting knowledge, creativity to keep producing new innovations and continuously self-developing.  E-learning (KC-Moodle) system is one of interesting innovations and needed for nowadays teaching in class, which has been skillfully controlled by specialists for 6 years. The reason why this training needed to be held because of the faculty formerly used LMS system developed by Thailand Faculty of Engineering Deans Committee, and Kasetsart University was appointed to be responsible on developing the system. But nowadays, LMS system has been already stopped developing, this caused problems of computer accessibility, meanwhile CMU has been creating KC-Moodle system which is widely recognized to use for E-learning subjects management. The strength of this system is to support widely class activities in many medias, such as; VDO, Multimedia, including every e-lesson activity. So that, every faculty can access to the system in the name of CMU ONLINE. After the opening ceremony, lecture on case studies and direction of faculty’s e-learning began by Lecturer Dr. Arnan Sipitakiat, Assistant Dean for Information Technology Development and Learning Innovation, and special lecture on KC-Moodle system and CMU ONLINE Learning Management System workshop by a team of staffs from Information Technology Service Center as resource persons.
