Students from Kyoto University and Chiang Mai University Energize KU-CMU Summer Camp 2023
From September 6th to 12th, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, Thailand, played host to an enlightening exchange of knowledge and ideas. Students from Kyoto University and the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, came together for the much-anticipated KU-CMU Summer Camp 2023.
Throughout the week, these budding engineers were treated to an array of captivating lectures :
Lecture 1 : Asst Prof Dr. Chatchawan Chaichana illuminated the crowd with insights into “The Applications of Renewable Energy in Thailand.”
Lecture 2 : Prof Dr. Hideaki Ohgaki and Japanese students provided a global perspective on the “Energy Situation and the World.”
Lecture 3 : Assoc Prof Dr. Seiichi Ogata delved into the intricate realm of “Energy Economics.”
Lecture 4 : Senior Research Assistant Ruethai Onbhuddha, representing NSTDA(TIIS) and Kyoto University, shared wisdom on “Corporate Sustainability Management.”
But it wasn’t all about lectures! These bright minds embarked on enlightening site visits, exploring :
– A captivating Solar Water Heating System Visit at the Male Dormitory 4.
– Smart Campus Management Center OF CMU
– Energy Research and Development Institute of Nakornping
– Chiang Mai World Green City (CMGC) of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
After these immersive experiences, students came together to brainstorm and collaborate on exciting projects. Their collective efforts culminated in impressive presentations, marking the successful conclusion of KU-CMU Summer Camp 2023.
This event not only expanded horizons but also strengthened bonds, nurturing the future leaders of sustainable engineering.
