Representatives Chiang Mai University – the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Science and College of Art Media and Technology embarked on a collaboration with the University of Edinburgh in Scotland on 19th March 2024. They aimed to nurture academic collaboration and research partnerships. While Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, was among the delegation, the team collectively engaged in discussions with counterparts at the University of Edinburgh. Their conversations spanned diverse research areas and innovative educational approaches, underscoring the potential for fruitful collaboration. This initiative signals a proactive step towards strengthening international academic ties and fostering interdisciplinary knowledge exchange. Both institutions are poised to leverage their strengths to pursue collaborative research endeavours that can address global challenges and drive positive societal impact.
