ENG, CMU Welcomes Delegation from Curtin University to Academic Collaboration

The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, led by Dean Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamoort, along with Assistant Dean Assistant Professor Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Head of the Chiang Mai University Advanced Railway Civil and Foundation Engineering Centre: Rail-CFC and Curtin University’s Alumni  Associate Professor Dr. Peerapong Jitsangiam, Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering Assistant Professor Dr. WasawatNakkiew, Deputy Director of Chiang Mai International Engineering School (CM-IES) Dr. Faifan Tantakitti, together with Director of School of Lifelong Education, Associate Professor Dr. PradthanaJaipong, warmly welcomed a delegation from Curtin University, Australia. The delegation visited to discuss academic collaborations between the two institutions, primary focused on double degreeprograms. 

A delegation from Curtin University recently visited to explore opportunities for academic collaboration between the two institutions. The discussions focused on establishing academic partnerships, including initiatives such as the 4+1 Double Degree program.

The Curtin University delegation comprised:

1. Professor Mark Ogden, Pro Vice Chancellor, Faculty of Science and Engineering

2. Professor Kevin Fynn, Director of Industry Engagement, Faculty of Science and Engineering

This visit marks a significant milestone in strengthening academic cooperation between the two universities. Both institutions are enthusiastic about the potential for mutual academic growth and success through this collaboration. The visit took place on August 9, 2024 at the Tiyaporn Conference Room, 6th floor, 30th Anniversary Building.
